U.S. Marshals Museum

The mission of the U.S. Marshals Museum is to form a national center of heritage and legacy, disseminate knowledge, and inspire appreciation for the accomplishments of the U.S. Marshals Service.

Excerpt from U.S. Marshals Museum 2009 calendar:"The history of the U.S. Marshals Service is the history of our nation. The agency was created when President George Washington signed the Judiciary Act of Senate Bill 1 in September 1789. The original 16 U.S. Marshals had a variety of duties, but their main role was to represent the authority of the new federal government."
