Readers, it's time for The City Wire's annual readership survey. It's a bit longer than the last survey, but still should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
With your input, we can make The City Wire better! Please take a moment of your time to complete the survey - it should only take 2 - 3 minutes.

A couple of weeks back, Facebook announced they were going to share your mobile phone number and address with 3rd party developers. After a couple of days, a backlash of Luddite privacy advocates began soapboxing and lawyering up and ultimately, Zuckerberg and company backed down.
We are appreciative and understanding of the passion and civic interest among our many commenters. Their willingness to engage and be heard is refreshing and has helped grow The City Wire.
But too much of a good thing is a bad thing. Or, as the Greeks are alleged to have noted: Everything in moderation.
Thanks for all of your input on the commenting changes. We really appreciate it.
One of the points of the change was to encourage users to register on the site with an actual, real email address. This way if a comment violated our terms of service, we could send a message, either through TCW's messaging system (did you know there was an internal messaging system?) or email explaining why a comment is not acceptable.
The anonymous comment submission form does not validate email addresses, so by moderating anonymous comments we are hoping to encourage users to register.
We LOVE our commenters - probably more than you know.
There is not much more I can say that others have not already said with more insight and eloquence than I regarding the passing of Gary Elmore. In fact, I think that many of us have had a hard time putting our loss into words.
Thanks for your feedback over the previous posts. They have proven invaluable in making The City Wire better for everyone.
We are making other changes, too. Notice the new classifications to the menu structure at the top of the page? The existing sections of the site are remaining the same, but we are adding other ways to slice, dice, and categorize articles for helping users find the particular news they are interested in.
Dan Lyons Fake Steve Jobs has some things to say about mainstream media. Worth a read.
The number of personal, non-relevant comments have become annoying to a great number of our readers. So, at the risk of stepping onto a slippery slope, beginning immediately, The City Wire will begin unpublishing mean-spirited comments that provide no perspective, context or new information to the original post.
