Outside Agency Funding
A handful of Fort Smith’s non-profit agencies have been receiving various amounts of funding from the City of Fort Smith equal to about one half of one percent of the budget. It’s an inequitable system – both the selection of the agencies and the amounts given. The process and amounts continue unchanged from one year to the next. It’s a closed system.
