The Ft Smith Housing Authority is wanting to spend $1,094,000 of our tax dollars in infrastructure improvements to ready Bailey Hill Subdivision for 36 housing units.  This $1,094,000 will only provide infrastructure for the site.  These costs do not include the cost for demolition of the Bailey

 I believe the residents of Fort Smith lost big tonight as the board of directors voted to force city-wide automated trash pickup.   This completely eliminates any help from private trash haulers bidding in a competitive environment to help solve this issue or keep performance and prices in line,

Only 800 signatures?  It is a sad situation when in our country, the private sector is forced out from competing in the market place and replaced with a uncompromising system of, “our way or the highway”, approach.  Is forced “ALL MANUAL” or “ALL AUTOMATED” really viable options?
