Greenwood mayor Kenneth Edwards and irony

Greenwood mayor Kenneth Edwards wants legal action.

for a race he’s ineligible to run in…
because he stole campaign signs.

really...

Hi Giggles

Let’s see I am in Vegas right now talking with a Chef graduate of the Cordon Bleu institute to bring back to Fort Smith. In September MSCI hired 27 employees for a 3 shifts 24 hours for 18 days, to produce a product for MJ Products located in Florida as MSCI is centrally located. If the numbers work, MSCI will receive the contract from MJ Products and will hire 27 full time employees. I paid for Mike's expenses to come to Fort Smith, along with two other potential new comers. I put my money where my mouth is. Have you promoted Fort Smith, have you reached into your pocket to purchase airline tickets, hotel rooms, car rentals and meals? Eric Arthur

Ummm...Lost?

Mr. Arthur, I appreciate your efforts in Vegas. Really I do. I appreciate a man with vision, motivation, and initiative - especially when they are efforts well spent for the benefit of others. But you've lost me in one small, though quite important, area: Relevancy. You see, my comment was a show of amusement at the sweet maiden Irony. If you would read the above post, you will notice that RobertM's post was in no way referring to you, nor to The City of Fort Smith for that matter. It was to point out the sweet Irony of a small political situation in a neighboring community. There were no accusations, alleged slander, insults, talk of negligence, suggestions of overspending, or anything else that you so eloquently refer to from time to time. But you're right, Mr. Arthur - I haven't done much at all. Just picking up trash, donating a few small amounts to the library, trying to be involved in my children's school, volunteering in a couple of community projects here and there; you know - little things like that. Nothing as lavish or grandiose as a man of your character contributes to our fair city. I'd like to think that if I had the financial means to do all of those things, that I would definitely not shirk from the challenge! But you never know... maybe deep down, I'm not really the charitable person I think myself to be, or the philanthropist you've come to be. But I do what I can. I take care of my responsibilities, working to support my children on my own, feeling that to be my duty and not my fellow taxpayers'. I have to live frugally and maturely, making sure to instill good morals and honor in my children so they likewise don't become someone else's financial burden, or even a public annoyance. But still, I admit, you've convicted me... there's more that I should be willing to do. If the world of politics should ever lose its grandeur, Mr. Arthur, I highly believe that you would do well with a career that is more evangelical in nature. As far as you putting your money where your mouth is, that is a wonderful selfless act that you do, and you should be highly commended for it. I've read your lists of accomplishments as you post them frequently on multiple blogs and articles, and feel that you deserve the pat on the back that you feel the citizens fail to give you. You are a good man, Mr. Arthur... at least, I hope you to be. One request, though, as I have already pointed out the importance of this to you once before, if you recall... There are those of us who are trying to give you a chance and learn to see "how deep your well goes". Don't scare us off with your barking and snarling before we get a chance to learn how great you really are. Many Cheers! ~ag

greenwood has its comedy and fort smith has its own little theater of absurdity! director, kevin settle put his vision for the future of fort smith, in the times record newspaper, on saturday, october 9, 2010. after reading his vision for our future, it sounded exactly like the same text that mr eric arthur has been proposing to the board of directors for many months! mr settle should take care of correcting the dumb garbage can issue and not plagiarize mr arthur's concept of the necessary steps needed to move our city forward! could not believe the words that were put in the newpaper as it is exactly the same as mr arthur words. wow, wonder if settle paid to use mr arthurs words. unbelievable!

Eric doesn't want the salary or expenses, wants change

Happy Times, I must have missed that article, going to have to pull out last saturday's paper to read the article. As far as I know Kevin Settle has been a tax and spend guy from the GO! He wants big government as shown on his votes to take over private sanitation when actually 73% of the people served by the private sanitation wanted to keep the private company. He voted to help Mayor Baker's friend Phil White with the failing Ferris wheel, although it is a private owned venture and he was on record to initiate a 1% Hospitality Tax to subsidize the convention center and other social programs. I don't think Eric stands for any of these issues. Kevin may be a nice guy, but we need to cut this government spending and government growth before there is no private business.

hi ho mr swink

you're right! settle thinks government should take over more private business! altes vrs city sanitation was the start and then the bailout on the ferris wheel! how about the convention center debacle with close to 20 million wasted there also! government can't, and should not compete with private business as it has failed in every attempt over many years. post office, health care, railroads, stimulus program, just to name a few! eric arthur has great ideas to get our city moving and will tell the truth about the insider stuff at city hall. cut government, cut spending, cut taxes, until we get this economy moving and then hopefully we can afford some quality of place improvements. we need to get our house in order and bring in more business with less government!

Karma

Karma - one of the brightest systems of maintaing balance (ethics) that we have ever originated! The only enforcer is oneself. And, have you noticed? The time lapse for reciprocity seems to be getting shorter and shorter.

Disgusting but not surprising

... how Arthur, Swink, and Happy can hijack any blog post and manipulate it into their worn out soapbox.

Hey Robert M. review the BOD meetings. Eric Arthur

Does EricA know the diff between Fort Smith and Greenwood?

Hey EricA. I don’t have to review the BoD meetings. I usually attend them. Now back to my point – I wrote about an incident in Greenwood, and you misfits hijacked my post with your same old garbage. I’ll make ya a deal. You don’t respond to my blogs, and I won’t read yours.
