The Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center (APAC) is an economic development program of the Community and Economic Development Program Area of the Cooperative Extension Service through a Cost Sharing Cooperative Agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency of the Department of Defense (DOD. The University’s Cooperative Extension Service and the DOD share the costs and operation of the program and the budget is supplemented by third party matching funds and in-kind contributions. Under this agreement, APAC serves hundreds of Arkansas businesses by assisting them AT NO CHARGE. They assist Arkansas businesses by providing them with the information necessary to find who to contact at city, county, state and federal government agencies, what it is they purchase, provide bid match services, and assist with any and all paperwork or regulations to get the order. APAC serves Arkansas businesses in all 75 counties from their main office in Malvern, supported by a fully-staffed satellite office in Little Rock and unstaffed sponsored sites in several locations around the state. As a former APAC Program Advisor I encourage all Arkansas businesses to take advantage of this program. It’s your tax dollars at work – take advantage of it. www.arcommunities.org/apac.htm Jim Kolettis Director Marketing & Sales Mahar Manufacturing
