Ethel Rose Baker, born December 1, 1915 in Denning, AR moved to Fort Smith as a young child. She enjoyed quilting, crochet, cooking, and travelling. She made several trips to Branson, MO to see her favorite singer, Daniel O’Donnell.
She was preceded in death by her parents William H. and Clara Becker, her husband Earl Baker, her children Elizabeth Ward, James H. Baker, sister Julia Ivy, and brother Albert Becker.
Funeral services will 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 19th at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her sister Maudie Gallagher of Roland, OK; grandchildren: Kathryn Manning and her husband Mike of Weatherford, TX, Shirley Stone and her husband Paul of Burleson, TX, Robert Ward of Weatherford, TX, Richard Ward and his wife Donna of Mansfield, TX, Roy Ward, Jr. and his wife Angela of Arlington, TX, Cheryl Moore and her husband L.B. of Allen, TX, Jeff Baker and his wife Kathy of Carrollton, TX and Jason Baker of Fayetteville, NC. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild and another on the way, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Robert Ward, Richard Ward, Roy Ward, Jeff Baker, Paul Stone, Mike Manning, and Jason Baker.
Family will receive guests 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Monday, June 18th at the funeral home.
