Myra Pauline Leary, 73 of Fort Smith, Arkansas entered this earth June 1, 1939 in Birmingham, Alabama and departed this earth June 19, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a homemaker; loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Our joys will be greater, our love will be deeper, our lives will be fuller, because we shared your life. She was preceded in death by her son William Legitt, Jr. and three brothers; Shirlie Boyett, Jimmie Sandlin, and Dewie Sandlin.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, June 22nd at Fentress Mortuary Chapel 1805 North “A” Street Ft. Smith, with graveside service to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park 4211 Stateline Road in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years Jack Leary of Fort Smith, two daughters; Deborah Callahan and her husband Matthew of Greenwood, Brenda Farr and her husband Tommy of Fort Smith; three sons Robert Legitt and his wife Kristy of Poteau, Randal Legitt and his wife Tammy of Poteau, Shane Leary and his wife Julie of Fort Smith; stepson John Leary and his wife Carolyn of Tennessee, stepdaughter Sherri Fiorella and her husband Dave of Tennessee; two sisters; Faye Duff of Alabama and Clara Lupp of Washington as well as 27 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Legitt, Randal Legitt, Joey Farr, Matthew Callahan, Jacob Patterson, and J.B. Wells. Honorary pallbearer will be Shane Johnson.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, June 21st at the funeral home.
