Chad Whitfield, 36, of Fort Smith died Aug. 1, 2012, in Fort Smith.
He was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, a graduate of Northside High School class of 1994 and a Little League basketball coach with the Boys Club. He was formerly employed by Altrista and Jerden Plastics.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. James Misionary Baptist Church with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary.
He is survived by two sons, Colby and Cordell Whitfield; his parents, Charlene and Ozzie Whitfield, both of Fort Smith; a sister, Vadine Kinnard; two brothers, Ozzie Ray (Cassandra) Whitfield and Keith Benard (Glennis) Whitfield; two aunts, Joslyn (Eddie) Ross and Kathy Hicks; and an uncle, Dwight Howard.
Pallbearers will be Josh Metz, James Stephens, James Owens, Gary Anderson, Cleveland Pugh, Herbert Harper, Steve Holliman and Carlos Ramirez.
The family will receive friends at 2600 N. 37th St.
