Naturally Improv-able Live, Local, World-wide

No reason for shameless plugs on topics no one cares about, but when it comes to the art of laughing, everyone cares.  Everyone is interested.  Right?  Fort Smith's Only Improv Comedy Troupe, Naturally Improv-able, has hit the ground running in the entertainment arena of comedy.  Reaching not only a growing number of people during the "Sunday Night Live" free show they offer at Lost Beach, but also to a rapidly growing number of fans online.  Using a free internet video streaming service called UStream, Naturally Improv-able is branching out literally world-wide.  At latest check, there were people watching last Sunday's show from 9 states.  Counting those watching live via the internet and those watching live in person at Lost Beach, well over 200 people attended last week's show.  Just a little over a month in, the momentum of this success is almost breathtaking.  

Founded by Luke Perkinson, Naturally Improv-able is well on its way to being more than just a "fun thing to do on a Sunday night."  More and more venues are starting to book this group every day.  Their clean approach to improv comedy is only a part of their success.  "Improv comedy is funny just the way it is.  There's no reason to dirty it up," says Perkinson.  The other success comes from the talent that this group has recruited.  Both with the talent on stage with their performances and talent off-stage with their skills.  Graphic designers, website builders, marketing professionals, stand up comedians, musicians, singers, songwriters...just to name a few of the "extracurricular activities" some of these guys and gals have.  

There's not doubt that laughing is serious business to this group.  Along with a live show, they offer a free workshop for those interested in becoming involved.  Every Sunday at 5PM, newcomers can come and learn the art of improv comedy.  Those in the workshop will have the opprtunity to be on stage that very night!  So, if you've not heard of Naturally Improv-able, you will.
