Faith Corner

Today at Freedom Church we talked about Matthew 26. What I find most amazing about this scripture is that while the disciples were standing on the cusp of the greatest world change event ever and Jesus invited three of them to be “in on it” they were found sleeping. Does this sound familiar? It does to me.
Recently I was re-reading some of my old notes from some studying I had done when I stumbled across a note where God had said to me “you are including Me in your day”. I was so thrilled with what He said to me until I realized it wasn’t a complement. What God was saying to me is that I was including Him on the go (working Him in) not putting Him first. I decided then and there that I was going to start putting Him first; I was going to start getting up a little earlier in the morning and start off my day with Him. Now here it is 3 years later and I had still not done it! Thank God for His mercy and grace!  I am happy to report  that I have now committed to putting God first, I get up and meet with Him pretty much every morning.
I think most bible believing Christians recognize that we are on the edge of the biggest event ever to hit man-kind; the return of Jesus Christ for His church. Don’t let Him find you sleeping!
