Car-Mart opens new dealerships in Alabama, Missouri

America’s Car-Mart continues to expand its reach outside the Natural State announcing two new dealerships opening in Florence, Ala., and Kirksville, Mo., on Friday (March 29).

This mark dealerships No. 122 and No. 123 for the used-car finance company.

Car-Mart executives vowed to open 10 new stores this fiscal year and the last of those openings is set for April.

The company had 12 dealerships in Alabama and 17 in Missouri. The Florence dealership will be managed by Joshua Lockard and the Kirksville dealership will be managed by Shaun Campbell.

America’s Car-Mart and its shareholders had quite a joyride in the first quarter of 2013. The stock closed Thursday at $46.74, up $1.15, or 2.40%. Car-Mart shares started the year $41.30 and rose as high as $49.52 last week. For the full quarter the shares were up 13.17%. Bentonville-based Car-Mart will report its fourth quarter results on May 20.
