Earl “Gene” Armstrong, 76 of Moffett, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009 in Moffett. He was a member of the Moffett Baptist Mission, an active member of the Moffett Town Council, Volunteer Fireman and a member of the American Legion. He graduated from Fort Smith High School in 1950 and served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Kaiser Steel in California for several years and Wright Service Station.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Moffett Baptist Mission in Moffett, Oklahoma with burial to follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his sister Lois Jones and her husband Waylon of Roland, Oklahoma; a niece Stephanie Williams and her husband Scott of Roland, Oklahoma; two nephews Keith and Kevin Jones of Roland, Oklahoma; one great nephew Reid Williams of Roland, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Keith Jones, Kevin Jones, Scott Williams, Reid Williams, and Mark Woolsey.
