I must respectfully disagree with Sam Sicard’s support for Congressman Steve Womack. Didn’t Congressman Womack vote with Harry Reid recently in a Republican attempt to defund Obamacare? The sole reason for the attempt to defund, was Senator Ted Cruz and other conservative Republicans questioned the fact, why the US Congress, the Supreme Court, government employees, unions and big corporations are exempt from this healthcare program. Does Congressman Steve Womack believe the AHA isn’t good enough for Congress, but is for the average American worker?
Secondly, Congressman Womack has introduced the Fair Market Internet Tax bill. There is nothing fair about this bill. Brick and mortar along with internet companies alike provide private sector shipping jobs when they receive their goods from manufactures or whoever. Then brick and mortar stores collect tax when those products are purchased from customers. Internet companies on the other hand, provides additional shipping jobs across the country to ship their products to the customer, which creates a stronger private sector. Brick and mortar companies don’t have this expense. Wouldn’t Congressman Womack much rather see internet companies thriving in a competitive market, providing private sector shipping jobs, rather than paying for shipping to their customers and then collecting taxes for the government?
