The Fort Smith Chorale is an auditioned, all volunteer community chorus, founded and directed by Mr. Bill Cromer since 1981. The Chorale provides musical opportunities to Fort Smith singers and audiences alike. Annually, approximately 80 singers entertain audiences of over 1000 with two concerts, Carols by Candlelight at Christmas, and a spring concert that features a variety of music and themes.
The Chorale participates in many local events, often with the Fort Smith Symphony, appealing to a wide range of musical tastes, offering pops and blues as well as Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. We perform for local radio and television as well as for civic and church events, often at no charge.
New singers are auditioned twice a year, in January and August.
