Proposed Governor's Cabinet for Economic Development

Since we already have an Economic Development Commission and a dedicated staff, where is the need to create a new multi-member advisory group?  Who will they advise?  Wouldn't that just add another layer of bureaucracy?  And, Cong. Ross is proposing yet another community readiness certification program, which amounts to a bunch of hoops communities will have to jump through.  Yes, communities need to do proper planning to position themselves to attract new jobs.  But, we've seen these programs come and go.  What is new or innovative about this one?

Mr. Ross is spending too much time in Fort Smith because he sounds like our city leaders with promises, promises, promises.

It would be nice if a politician would do something positive rather than just make promises that they know that they can't keep.
