Get ready Fort Smith, the HARLEM AMBASSADORS are coming. Get ready for dazzling ball-handling tricks, high-flying slam dunks and hilarious, side-splitting FAMILY comedy. Join the Harlem Ambassadors Basketball Show on Sunday, January 20th, 5:00 p.m. at the UA Fort Smith Stubblefield Arena as they take on our local team of celebrities. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance. $6 for adults, $4 for students and FREE admission to all Girls Inc. and Boys & Girls Club basketball players who wear their team jersey to the event. This event is brought to you by the Young Emerging Leaders (YEL) and co-sponsored by the Holiday Inn City Center and The University of Arkansas Fort Smith. Some Thanksgivings That Stand Out
1971, November 25 – I spent this Thanksgiving with my cousin. My family had driven from Portland, Oregon to Payette, Idaho to pick up a new 24-foot Champion motor home that Dad had ordered. I had refused to go on this sacrilegious excursion over the Holy Thanksgiving Holiday… or at least, that’s what I told my parents.

The folks at YEL are very excited about this upcoming event; it promises to be great family entertainment and a whole lot of fun! We hope to see everyone out there to show their community spirit and certainly to laugh a great deal. I also hear the snacks are going to be pretty tastey too.
