Lucille W. Hanes, 93 of Mulberry passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in Fort Smith. She was Methodist and a Homemaker. She was a resident of Mulberry for 50 years, a 4-H Leader in Crawford County for 11 years, and a member of the Genealogy Society. Her hobbies included painting, photography, and travel. She traveled to 48 of the 50 States. She loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 ½ years, Howard Hanes and three sons; David, John, & Carl Hanes.
Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 16, 2010 at Vine Prairie Baptist Church in Mulberry with interment of ashes to follow at New Cemetery in Mulberry. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by six daughters Marie Hobbs of Boron, CA, Lois Sheets and her husband Melburn of Hoxie, AR, Ruth Hanes of Apple Valley, CA, Betty Richards of Mulberry, AR, Alice Baccus and her husband Jim of North Edwards, CA, Neva Jones of Kibler, AR, one foster daughter Pat Ellis of Apple Valley, CA, one son Fred Hanes and his wife Ida of Bonanza, AR; two sisters Lillian Kelsey of LaGrange, OH and Ethel Miller of Amherst, OH; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and eight great, great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Methodist Nursing Home 1915 South 74th Ft. Smith, AR 72903.
